Therapists help people of all ages live happier, healthier and more productive lives. Through the use of various psychotherapy methods and collaborative treatment measures, my patients develop life-changing habits to help them cope with any of life’s various obstacles. My therapy sessions are designed to dissect personal issues and provide patients with effective tools to help them see the glass half full instead of half empty.
Anxiety
I address anxiety working with a holistic active approach to build confidence and relieve the negative impact anxiety may have in a person’s life. Using mind - body, cognitive behavioral and stress management techniques can help the person find more peace in their life and spend time thinking about and doing the things they enjoy.
Trauma and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing/EMDR
Addressing trauma using the theories of polyvagal techniques I use EMDR to work towards healing trauma and feeling safe within yourself and the world around you. Other techniques include addressing the vagus nerve to manage the anxious feelings that are associated with trauma.
Adolescents/ Emerging Adulthood
Working with teenagers and young adults is a passion of mine. It is an exciting and dynamic time of life that presents its unique challenges. Helping individuals work through these challenges to feel success and foster positive self esteem to move forward in life and feel confident in the way they interact with both people in their lives as well as the environment is very rewarding. This includes assisting with support parents can offer to their children during these times.
